Head of regional center visited the Great Patriotic War veteran Victor Vasilyevich Dmitrov and awarded him a jubilee medal “The 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” approved by the Decree of the RF President.
The ceremony was dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. It was participated by the First Deputy Head of Krasnodar Region administration Dzhambulat Khatuov, Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov, Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko, military men, representatives of deputy corps, non-governmental organizations and youth movements.
The memorial opening ceremony took place in Chistyakovskaya Grove. There was a meeting devoted to the twentieth anniversary of the start of counter-terrorism operation in Chechen Republic.
Veterans, representatives of regional and municipal authorities, public organizations, youth came together to Eternal light at Heroes’ Memory square on Day of memory and grief.
Today the city Head Vladimir Evlanov took part in festivities devoted to opening of sporting and park complex that is situated at the territory of Krasnodar University of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Today two patriotic youth demonstrations — “Parade of winners” and “Immortal regiment” were held in Kuban capital in honour of the 69th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Devoted to the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War marching in review of parade squads, military and retro-equipment happened at Theatre Square. Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev and Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov took part in the ceremony.

Annual parade of Kuban Cossack Army historical divisions devoted to the 23rd anniversary of repressed peoples rehabilitation enactment took place at Theatre Square today. Dozens of thousands of citizens and city’s guests came to have a look at large-scale performance. Cossacks were greeted by Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev.
