Head of regional center visited the Great Patriotic War veteran Victor Vasilyevich Dmitrov and awarded him a jubilee medal “The 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” approved by the Decree of the RF President.
— I heartily congratulate you on the past holidays — Defender of the Fatherland Day and Krasnodar liberation Day. You have participated in battles for the liberation of our city, displayed courage and heroism, honored combat awards. Thank you very much for your feat, for peace and restful life of the city, region and country, — Vladimir Evlanov addressed to the veteran.
In period of the Great Patriotic War Victor Dmitrov served as the commander of a platoon of anti-tank riflemen, participated in big combat operations: in Kursk, Belgorod, Kishinev, liberated Poland and Germany from Nazi.
For military merit the veteran awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of The Patriotic War of the 1-st and 2-nd Class, two Orders of the Red Star, medals “For Service in Battle” and “For Victory over Germany”. Recently Victor Dmitrov marked his 90th birthday. He and his spouse have lived together for 66 years, brought up two daughters, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
