Simultaneously two patriotic youth demonstrations — “Parade of winners” and “Immortal regiment” are to be organized in Kuban capital in honor of 69th anniversary of the Great Victory on May 9.
— Almost every Krasnodar citizen has relatives who have been in the war at fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Victory Day is a living memory of them, so on this day school children and youth of Krasnodar will take part in festive demonstrations at Krasnaya Street bearing photos of their own relatives, — a one in youth department said.
Chief of youth department Sergey Kilin explained that the demonstration may be participated by all citizens whose fathers, grandfathers or great-grandfathers had carried on war at fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Demonstration participants are to provide photos of those who heroically died in battles and those who returned home and made a peaceful life.
“Parade of winners” will start on Victory Day at 9:00 at Zhukov garden square (Krasnaya St. 53).
Another festive patriotic demonstration “Immortal regiment” will be conducted as part of All-Russian action and also start on May 9 at 9:00 at intersection of Krasnaya and Gimnazicheskaya Streets.
As explained by the action organizers “Radio 107” — this event happens in Krasnodar the second time and aims to keep memory of the Great Patriotic War soldiers in each Russian family.
