The ceremony was dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. It was participated by the First Deputy Head of Krasnodar Region administration Dzhambulat Khatuov, Chairman of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov, Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko, military men, representatives of deputy corps, non-governmental organizations and youth movements.
The ceremony started with the laying garlands by cadets of military universities of Krasnodar. Then regional and city chiefs, military men and Cossacks laid wreaths. A gun salvo was fired to the strains of the Russian anthem played by wind orchestra of a branch of military communications college.
Further on, participants proceeded to All Saints cemetery, laid flowers to the grave of Soviet Union Heroes Ignatiev brothers and to the Monument of Unknown Soldier.
Ceremonial laying baskets and flowers started to a background music of wind orchestra of Military air forces scientific-educational center.
After the Russian anthem and salvoes had been performed, the ceremony ultimated in parade marching of military men from the units of Krasnodar garrison, military colleges cadets and honour guard of Kuban Cossack Army.
