Festive events dedicated to Russia Day will take place at Pushkin Square in capital of Kuban on June 12.

Today two patriotic youth demonstrations — “Parade of winners” and “Immortal regiment” were held in Kuban capital in honour of the 69th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Devoted to the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War marching in review of parade squads, military and retro-equipment happened at Theatre Square. Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev and Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov took part in the ceremony.

A solemn meeting devoted to the 69th anniversary of soviet people’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Krasnodar Philharmonics.

Simultaneously two patriotic youth demonstrations – “Parade of winners” and “Immortal regiment” are to be organized in Kuban capital in honor of 69th anniversary of the Great Victory on May 9.

A demonstration was organized by Krasnodar regional branch of All-Russian political party “United Russia” and regional trade-unions council.

Heads of enterprises and establishments, teachers and doctors, workers of culture and arts, commercial workers, employers in sphere of housing and public utilities, totally 80 women were invited to ceremonial reception held in city’s administration.

About five hundred citizens – combat veterans, students of city’s universities and secondary specialized colleges, Cossacks, pupils and leaders of public organizations of the city came to Heroes Square to pay the tribute to the memory of fallen in the Great Patriotic War.

Today veterans of the Great Patriotic War and armed forces, military servicemen of Krasnodar garrison, representatives of Cossacks and youth organizations gathered in concert hall of regional philharmonic.

Thousands believers attended all-night vigil in temples of Kuban capital. Together they prayed and exulted over the bright festival of Christmas. Holiday sacred service was held by metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidor in the main Krasnodar temple St. Catherine’s Cathedral.
