According to tripadvisor web-site on the results of contest “Travellers Choice — 2014” two Krasnodar parks – “Sunny Island” and Chistyakovskaya grove hit top 10 of Russian parks.
— Our parks are true decoration of southern city, the place of rest for many citizens and city guests. Year by year parks acquire increasingly greater popularity and it is pleasant that our recreation areas are remarked and appreciated on regional and all-Russian levels, — Chief of the department of culture Tatiana Ruban said.
Parks “Sunny Island” and Chistyakovskaya grove took 8th and 9th places of all-Russian rating correspondingly. Information of top 10 parks is backed with colourful slides.
Along with Krasnodar parks, four Moscow parks as well as ones from Chelyabinsk, Petrozavodsk and Khabarovsk comprised top 10 of the contest “Travellers Choice — 2014”.
Currently 5 parks function in Krasnodar. Over a period of more than 5 years “Sunny Island” park is a leader among parks within city limits in Krasnodar Region. During a year over 2 million people have a rest here. “Sunny Island” is multiple winner of annual all-Russian and regional contests among parks and other objects of recreation.
Chistyakovskaya grove is the oldest park of the city. It has reached the age of 113 on June 16 in this year. Yearly over 10 thousand flowers are planted here. The city festivals, actions and other arrangements are held within the grove.
Presently Chistyakovskaya grove is an exemplary park of Kuban capital.
