Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko gave a start of New Year’s performances on the main square of Kuban capital.
— Today we are all here on the main square of Krasnodar to open the New Year’s tree as well as for the fourth time we open the fair of New Year goods and souvenirs. Here you can find everything to prepare to the New Year’s party — buy gifts, souvenirs and sweets, have a good and joyful time with your family, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Theatrical performance “The snow tumult or Fairy adventures of Snowmen” was played today for about thousand children. The concert was participated by groups “Music Quarter” and “Confetti”, an artistic group “Summer birds” and choreographic ensemble “Korsun” of Starokorsunskaya village house of culture.
Games, competitions, guessing games and round dances by the New Year’s tree created festive mood. Daily from 19 December to 10 January the New Year performances with Father Frost, Snow maiden and other fairy characters start at 12:00. Acting talents of every urban district of Krasnodar will present here their performances.
Now over 60 renewed trade pavilions are installed on Theatre Square where you can buy New Year tree toys and other festive ornaments, fruits, honey, souvenirs and handmade accessories, goodies and chocolate.
This year by organizers’ opinion nine new amusement rides separately positioned on Theatre Square and festive illumination are to create a special New Year’s mood on the main square of the city.

On the night of 31 December and 1 January on Theatre Square there will be festive concert “Krasnodar meets New Year” performed by “Premiere” creative collective.
