The department of architecture and city planning of the administration of Krasnodar has developed the concept of festive decoration for New Year and Christmas.
"The patterns of festive decoration for consumer service and social objects, public transport and the various areas of the city — bridges, overpasses and bus pavilions, which are reflected in the New Year concept 2018 — will help to create a single style of Krasnodar on New Year and Christmas Eve. The motto of the developed concept is "City. Architecture. Geometry." In our view, this is a modern and helpful underlining of the beauty of urban landscapes," said Natalia Astakhova, deputy chief of the urban environment division of the department of architecture and city planning.
The main elements of the New Year concept 2018, recommended for use in the design of various objects and territories of the capital of Kuban, are stylized geometric figures — spheres, spirals, cubes in different compositions. They are recommended for the decoration of enter groups in buildings, facades, storefronts as well as to stylize the surrounding areas. Designers also advise to use LED lights in gold, silver, yellow, and blue colours.
It is also recommended to use the images of stylized clocks and clockwork mechanism parts in gold-silver shades as a symbol of the change of time. These details are offered for the Christmas tree decoration in front of shopping centers and showcases. All the trams on the most popular routes must also be decorated with the LED lights.
