New Year’s musical and theatrical performance “In the embrace of Sun and Moon” took place on the Theater Square of the capital of Kuban. At 23:55 Evgeny Pervyshov and Vera Galushko congratulated citizens of Krasnodar through video message. The addresses by City Head and City Duma Chairwoman were showed on LED screen mounted to the building of City Hall.
— 2017 is coming very soon. New Year’s Day is favourable and good holiday. This fairy night we are eager to give a present of miracle to our children, create high spirits for those close to us and gather with family. When meeting the New Year we are thinking of the best. We hope and believe that all will be OKey. This believe in the best is very important. This is our desire and our targets. Certainly, the existing problems will not simply vanish themselves. But in the main, we are to have a genuine desire to surmount difficulties, tackle problems arising in our way. Together we can do much and I have no doubt in it, — Evgeny Pervyshov said.
Video message was also sent by Krasnodar City Duma Chairwoman Vera Galushko.
— With the last peal of bells a new cycle begins. This will be a new phase in fate of our country, region, favourite Krasnodar and all of us. The future depends on common efforts and I want the coming year to become the period of creation and new achievements. Together, trusting each other, we will overpower any possible challenges, — Vera Galushko said.
Actors of creative association “Premiere” prepared for citizens and guests of Kuban capital picturesque music-theatrical show.
New Year's fairy tale performed in front of the spectators was based on musical comedy “The Phantom of the Opera”, choreographic compositions “The Ball”, “Winter waltz”, vocal etudes “The Masquerade”, “Love as long as you can”, “White Snowstorm”, “The riddle”.
The stage of the performance was decorated in the style of a sky castle. Krasnodar citizens and guests of the city viewed a big hall with stylized clouds, bulk of snowflakes, golden columns and stars. The stage torches and candelabra added to an atmosphere of sky castle. Fairy beauties — the Evening Glow and the Night came to hold the celebration.
The New Year’s celebration programme, which lasted nearly two hours, involved the performances of show-theater “Premiere” and vocal-choreographic ensemble “Rodnik”, actors of Youth Theater and People's Artist of Russia Raisa Goncharova. Besides that, directors of New Year’s theatrical performance prepared interactive games with viewers.
Over 12 thousand citizens and guests of Krasnodar came to Theater Square to meet the New Year. In the course of celebrations the public order was maintained by 130 policemen, Cossacks and 100 servicemen.
The conclusion of the celebration was a picturesque firework that lighted the night sky in the first minutes of the new year.
