Over 13 thousand citizens came to the rally and festive concert dedicated to the second anniversary of the agreement for reunification of Russia and two territorial entities — Crimea and Sevastopol. Solemn event was held on Pushkin Square.
— Kuban and the whole of Russia are rejoicing in honor of reunification with Crimea. This is true holiday of Victory for the Russian citizens. This event has opened up a new era, Crimea has become the symbol of a birth of our power, — chief executive officer and coordinator of Krasnodar regional national patriotic organization “For the Faith, Kuban and Fatherland!” Nikolay Denisov said in his speech.
The rally was participated by representatives of regional non-governmental organizations, authorities, deputies of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly and Krasnodar City Duma, local branches of political parties, Krasnodar regional association of trade unions, Cossacks, members of veteran and youth organizations, students, residents and guests of the capital of Kuban.
— Two years has gone by since the reunification with Crimea, but there is a feeling that we have never been separated. Kuban the same as the whole country has ardently supported the free expression of the will of the Crimeans. Russia is great, inseparable and invincible, — Chairman of Krasnodar regional non-governmental organization “Center of Adyg culture” Saphiet Shamova said.
We remind that anniversary of the reunification with the peninsula is considered to be March 18 — the day when agreement for Crimea and Sevastopol admitting to the composition of the Russian Federation was signed. Referendum on the state status of Crimea and Sevastopol was held on March 16, 2014. Voters of the region chose between expanding the region’s power within Ukrainian borders and the reunification with Russia. Totally 96,77 per cent of all voted people spoke out in favor of the autonomy’s joining to Russia.
