An analysis of the development of the largest cities in the Southern Federal District based on the results of first three months 2017 showed that Krasnodar goes ahead of the capital cities of the other regions in 15 of the 34 indicators.
"Comparative analysis is carried out in the context of information exchange that has been established with other cities, the capitals of the Southern Federal District's regions. Krasnodar showed growth in many ways, by most of its social and economic development indicators outpaced other administrative centres — Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Maikop and Elista," reported in the city department of economic development, investment and external affairs.
The department informs that the comparative analysis of the main indicators of the socio-economic development of regional capitals has been made once every three months. The data of the Federal State Statistics Service is taken as the basis.
In particular, in the first quarter of 2017 Krasnodar was a confident leader in the execution of municipal budget revenues (4.8 billion rubles), Volgograd (3.9 billion rubles) was the second. According to the budget revenues increase rate to the similar period of the last year Krasnodar (116.8%) was ahead of second placed Volgograd (109.4%). By an indicator of the budget revenues per capita Kuban capital (4.9 thousand rubles) was at the top of the list. Here also, the second was Volgograd (3.8 th. rub.).
"According to statistics, as before, the lowest unemployment rate was in the capital of Kuban —0.3%, as well as the highest average monthly wage of a labouring person in large and medium-sized enterprises — over 38 thousand rubles," reported in the department.
Krasnodar became the best in retail turnover for large and medium-sized organizations of all activities — 41.6 billion rubles. In the second place — Rostov-on-Don (35.7 billion rubles). The capital of Kuban was first in the volume of paid services to the population by large and medium-sized organizations — 20.9 billion rubles, ahead of Volgograd (14.3 billion rubles).
Krasnodar was still leader by an indicator of paid services to the population per capita — 21.5 th. rub., the second was Maikop (17.5 th. rub.).
In January-March the capital of Kuban was the first by the volume of shipped goods of its own production, works and services rendered by large and medium-sized enterprises (electricity, gas and steam, air conditioning) — 17.9 billion rubles. By this indicator Krasnodar left behind Rostov-on-Don (11.4 billion rubles).
In addition, Krasnodar was leader in the SFD by the growth of the volume of the shipped goods, performed works and services by large and medium-sized enterprises (water supply and water disposal, waste collection and disposal, pollution eradication activities) compared to the similar period of the last year (113.3%). Astrakhan (107.8%) was the second by this indicator.
Along with that, regional centre was also the best in January-March by such indicators as the commissioning of residential buildings on account of all sources of financing, the commissioning of residential buildings per capita, the volume of construction works carried out by large and medium-sized organizations and the volume of construction works carried out per capita.
According to the analysis, Rostov was leader in six indicators, Elista — in five, Astrakhan and Volgograd — in three, and Maikop in two indicators of socio-economic development of the SFD cities in the first quarter of 2017," reported in the department.
This comparative analysis has been made the city administration quarterly since 1998. Following the results of 2016, Krasnodar also became a leader in most of the socio-economic development indicators among the major cities of the Southern Federal District.
