Kuban Governor and Krasnodar Head scrolled around the territory, discussed questions of integrated improvement and development of the park space. Also they deliberated on the condition of water in that part of Kuban River.
— Presently, to improve the ecological situation of the coastal area specialists carry out works on detection and elimination of unauthorized water drains and runoffs into the river. Earlier there were more than 30 such water drains, to this day their number has reduced to 21 — ten of them are blanked off and the other ones are under hold. The most efficient variant is to reconnect these drains to the urban sewerage system where all fluid masses go through clearing. Now we are thinking over different ways to implement it. Eventually this will have very positive impact on the condition of water in that part of Kuban River, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Kuban Governor and Krasnodar Head went along the main park alley to Kubanskaya Naberezhnaya Street. Beautification works and dismantling of old food courts are being carried out here. Vladimir Evlanov underlined that 5 cafés and 11 kiosks have been already dismantled and the rest will be destroyed through legal proceedings.
Alexander Tkachev approved the work and said that even now there are notable results — from the alley one can enjoy picturesque view of the river embankment. Previously the view was hidden behind ugly buildings.
Special attention was paid to the state of Kuban River backwater which has much less water than before. As Vladimir Evlanov said, the backwater is planned to become an integral part of the embankment that will be created along Kuban from Yablonovskiy Bridge to Yubileinyy microdistrict. Walking paths will be also prolonged to the Palace of Sports “Olymp”. As to the project of future embankment itself, Vladimir Evlanov informed that the designing of beautification works for the space of 5,5 kilometers has been already fulfilled. Cost of works is estimated to be as high as nearly 6 billion roubles.
Also Vladimir Evlanov told Alexander Tkachev about projects of complex development of territories around other water object of Krasnodar. Particularly they fixed on plans to unite the system of Karasun ponds into a single walking space with areas for outdoor activities, garden squares and well-groomed green fields. The project is actively discussed on a city-wide level with participation of public and expert community.
One more project is about beautification of a technical pond in the area of Stavropolskaya and Starokubanskaya Streets. After having restructured the drainage and sewage collectors here, there will be no need in the pond. It will be filled up and the freed space used for a garden square making. Alexander Tkachev has supported the idea.
It is to be recalled that under the frame of today’s working tour Alexander Tkachev and Vladimir Evlanov have already visited People’s Friendship garden square where the reconstruction of fountain complex is still in process. It should be finished until May 1.
