Today Kuban Governor and Head of Krasnodar are in working tour around the capital of Kuban. The trip is aimed to inspect the state of urban territories before the opening of park season and coming May holidays. They began by reviewing Peoples’ Friendship garden square situated within Mira, Oktyabrskaya and Rashpilevskaya Streets.
— The construction of a new fountain is going on here. The fountain is a complex engineering structure, so it needs a certain length of time to be completed. However, within the shortest period of time Krasnodar citizens will become able to enjoy finished garden square with play grounds and amenities, — Alexander Tkachev said.
The part of a new square opened in September of the last year during celebration of 221st anniversary of Krasnodar foundation has been already attended by Kuban Governor and Krasnodar Head in October 2014. At that time they inspected new plane fountain, paved walking paths, new benches and illumination system.
Today Alexander Tkachev and Vladimir Evlanov had sight of the refreshed garden square. The garden territory was improved within the works of sanitary marathon conducted in Krasnodar in March and April. During the period volunteers removed rubbish accumulated in winter-time: branches, foliage, sand; painted benches and litter-boxes; fulfilled handling of land all around the city.
Kuban Governor and Krasnodar Head had a look at the part of square where works on the reconstruction of old fountain is still in process — deficient equipment of some bowls are being replaced with a new one. Since the end of January the work has been carried out by contracting organization OJSC “Fontangrad”. After completion of all works, fountain will have LED lamps and rotating atomizers. Along with that the fountain will be a musical one.
Deputy Head of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov said that the fountain is reconstructed on its historic place. Here primordial plumbing equipment is being replaced with special-purpose fountain fittings. Fountain remains to be a jet one and its uniqueness is in the fact that it consists of two isolated parts.
Vladimir Evlanov underlined that all works related to the fountain complex are planned to be finished until May 1.
After the last visit to the garden square children’s play ground has become filled with seesaws, pull-up bars and street exercise machines. Also specialists have prepared a postament where the sculpture composition “An Indian boy on an elephant” will be installed.
Vladimir Evlanov noted that representatives of a manufacturing plant have already been in Krasnodar to take measurements of the former sculpture which cannot be restored. It means that a new sculpture will reproduce in size and colour the original one to the full extent. The elephant will be soon returned to the garden square.
Alexander Tkachev and Vladimir Evlanov also strolled about the park, talked with citizens, discussed things done and what still needs to be done in order to make the garden square more pleasant and good-looking.
