Musical and theatrical performance “Krasnodar meets New Year” took place on Theatre Square of the capital of Kuban. Over 20 thousand people came to view the festive show. Head of the city and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma congratulated all the citizens on the coming New Year 2016.
— The passing year 2015 was not an easy one, there were surely some difficulties. All of us experienced economic and financial difficulties. But nevertheless there are particular achievements, wins and prospects for the future. One of the main achievements is the liquidation of a relevant waiting list for kindergartens. This is the record result throughout the city’s history which has become possible with the aid and support of Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. The first time ever in its modern history our Krasnodar has been declared as the most well-furnished city of Russia. This is the evidence of all positive changes which happen in our city. We are to continue the improvement of social sphere and infrastructure in all microdistricts of the city. Krasnodar is in need of new green spaces, landscaped territories, sports grounds, schools, kindergartens and polyclinics. We have still much to do in order to create comfort environment for all citizens, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Head of Krasnodar remarked that recent year the city’s population is growing rapidly. It means that the city is attractive for living, it is comfortable and convenient.
— Therein lies big challenges for the future. In 2016 we have to change the city planning policy along the lines of harmonious development of Krasnodar. Now we are elaborating it, we are creating new General plan of the development of Krasnodar, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko also congratulated citizens:
— In 2015 our country celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The passing year has demonstrated the strength of us. It has to be admitted that new challenges are still ahead but we will continue creative work. Certainly we will fulfill social obligations to Krasnodar citizens.
For almost 20 years Krasnodar citizens traditionally meet New Year on Theatre Square. This year actors of creative association “Premiere” have prepared a fantastic entertainment program for citizens and guests of the city.
More than 20 thousand people came to Theatre Square of Krasnodar to meet New Year. During celebrations public order around thу main Christmas-tree was maintained by 159 policemen, Cossacks and 70 servicemen of the Internal Forces.
Colourful fireworks lighting up the whole sky during the first minutes of New Year became the culmination of the festivities.
