Today an agreement on the construction near Krasnodar the third shopping center of world known market brand was signed within the framework of the XV International Investment Forum in Sochi.
— Providing growth of the tax base and giving the city new jobs the consumer sphere of Krasnodar has successfully developed over the past years. With the opening of one more shopping center the city will receive not only these advantages, but additional comfortable conditions for the development of small and medium businesses, which are the target for METRO Cash & Carry warehouses, — acting Head of Krasnodar Alexander Mikheev commented.
Today the agreement of intent on implementing the investment project was signed at the Forum “Sochi-2016” by Vice-Governor of Kuban Yuri Gritsenko and Expansion Deputy Director of METRO Cash & Carry LLC Alena Elshina in the presence of acting Head of Krasnodar Alexander Mikheev. Total amount of the project investments — over 20 million euros.
— The format of warehouse will remain the same. It will be focused on “hospitality industry”, small and medium businesses. The decision to expand our presence in Krasnodar is promoted with the positive dynamics in the development of the whole Region and its capital city. Previously, besides Moscow and St. Petersburg, our brand was represented with two or more warehouses just in several million cities in Russia, and now Krasnodar will be reasonably among these cities, — Alena Elshina said.
The area of new Krasnodar’s store will be over 10 thousand sq.m. including trading area of almost 6 thousand sq.m.. New METRO Cash & Carry warehouse will give totally up to 200 jobs.
As part of the project it is planned to equip the parking on 378 car places.
The construction will take the land plot of total area 3 ha near to shopping center OZ Mall along the existing auto-road. It will begin after final agreement and processing of all necessary land-and-legal documents. The second METRO Cash & Carry center in Krasnodar is supposed to be opened in the end of 2017.
It is to be recalled that preliminary talks of representatives of Krasnodar administration and METRO Cash & Carry Russia on the possibility of construction of the third shopping center of world brand near Krasnodar were held within the framework of Investment Forum “Sochi-2015” the past year.

Nearby there is a parking on 684 car places. The stuff number — 200 people.
In 2014 the company opened the second cash & carry center in Krasnodar Region - in Novorossiysk. Besides that, regional office of the company works in Sochi. Another cash & carry center is situated near Krasnodar in the Republic of Adygeya.
