The Mayor of Krasnodar held a meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden

The prospects for Russian-Swedish cooperation were discussed by the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to the RF Peter Erickson. The meeting was held within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Krasnodar Region.

"It is important for us to have your initiative to establish business contacts with our enterprises and companies in various sectors of the economy. In turn, Krasnodar is interested in the advanced developments of Swedish companies to create a comfortable urban environment with due account for energy conservation, development of recycling and waste management system, innovative technologies "Smart city", traffic flow management and the construction of sewage treatment plants. I am sure we have great prospects and opportunities in joint cooperation," said Evgeny Pervyshov.

The Chairwoman of the City Duma of Krasnodar Vera Galushko, Vice Mayors of the regional centre and chiefs of the structural subdivisions of the city administration took part in the reception.

The Swedish delegation also included Counsellor for Economic Affairs, Head of Economic and Trade Department Bjorn Kavalkov-Halvarsson, Adviser to the Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Gunnar Haglund, as well as representatives of 13 Swedish companies operating in the territory of the Russian Federation — "Ecophon", "Alfa Laval", "Semren&Månsson", "Ericsson", "Flexlink", "Volvo Trucks/AO "Volvo East", etc.

According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to the RF, the purpose of the delegation's visit was to establish a business relationship with Krasnodar companies, to familiarize themselves with the economic potential of Krasnodar.

"I am pleased to be able to visit your dynamic city. I hope that today's meeting will be the basis for further development of contacts and cooperation in a variety of fields and industries," said Peter Erickson.

The representatives of the Swedish delegation described the activities of their companies — the production of electricity, heat, utility and separation equipment, compressor equipment, acoustic ceiling and wall panels, telecommunications equipment, automation equipment, air treatment products, recycling and agricultural equipment.

The days of Sweden are held in Krasnodar for the third time. The first such project was implemented in 2000 and the second in 2005.

This year, as part of the delegation's visit, the seminars have been held: "Smart cities: experience of Swedish companies" and "12 Swedish ideas for Krasnodar Region: how to build a future based on existing resources." Representatives of Swedish companies reported on the available domestically proven technological solutions and their use in the formation of modern urban infrastructure, resource conservation.
