Formal reception of the delegation of Turkey’s Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association was led by Deputy Head of Krasnodar, Director of the Department of Finances Alexander Mikheev.
— Krasnodar is defined to be one of pilot cities of the national project for attraction of investors run by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. We are ready to share experience in support for investment projects and cooperation with European business organizations with Turkish partners to extend and strengthen our ties, — Alexander Mikheev said in his welcoming speech.
Among the guests were Chairman of Turkey’s Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association Ahmet Hamdi Gurdogan, representatives of the Association Mehmet Özer and Idris Çevik, Şeref Bektaşoğlu and Dzemil Yilmaz as well as Commercial Attache of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Novorossiysk Emek Alpaslan.
The conversation was also participated by Executive Director of the Association of Exporters and Importers of Kuban Roman Vorotnikov and Director of the Fund “The Center for Coordinating Support for Export-Oriented Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Krasnodar Region” Evgeny Golovushkin.
Alexander Mikheev delivered a presentation of social and economic portrait of the capital of Kuban, remarked socioeconomic development achievements and advantageous geographical location of our city for extending cooperation with Turkey. Deputy Head of Krasnodar underlined that now about 30 joint the Russian-Turkish enterprises are successfully working in Krasnodar, mainly in spheres of construction, production and selling of food and consumer goods.
Guests wished to know how the economic crisis has impacted on business activity in Krasnodar. As according to Alexander Mikheev in spite of “subsidence” in the beginning of this year we can already say about getting economic indicators of former prosperous years. He placed emphasis on the fact that the development of business and event tourism in the Region has made it possible for investors to implement a large-scale project — to open one of the most modern in Russia Exhibition and Congress Center “Expograd Yug”.
Alexander Mikheev also told about Krasnodar Research Institute of Agriculture deliveries of winter wheat and barley to the Turkish Company “Marmaram Tukum” and scientific cooperation between All-Russian Rice Research Institute and Trakia Agrarian Research Institute. Additionally he paid attention to the widening of humanitarian cooperation as in established contacts of Kuban State University with Ankara and Giresun Universities. Investment projects on the construction of factories and technoparks at the territory of Krasnodar were marked among most prospective lines of the development.
— The purpose of the visit of Turkey’s Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association is to learn as much as possible about those possibilities that can be provided by Krasnodar Region and municipal authorities for the Turkish investors. We would like to know what assistance can be rendered and how investor’s capital will be protected. We are ready widely to distribute all gathered information in Turkey and organize meetings of potential Russian and Turkish partners, — Ahmet Hamdi Gurdogan said.
Besides that guests enquired about the possibility to buy land parcels to grow agricultural products and widen export and import relations between businessmen of two countries. Roman Vorotnikov presented and gave the gift of Kuban exporters catalogue to Turkish colleagues. Part of these exporters is importers as well.
Alexander Mikheev expressed readiness to work out proposals of Krasnodar within the shortest time, send them to Turkey’s Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association and render support in organization of business-missions for the effective work both in Krasnodar Region and Turkey.
