Today a session "Economy: Russia and Germany — build the future together" took place at the exhibition and congress complex "Expograd Yug". The conversation was attended by Vice Governor of Krasnodar Region Igor Galas, responsible for the development of financial and economic spheres.
"The business is free to compete in an open economy, and German companies have become involved in large projects in Kuban. I thank the Association of European Businesses for working together and ask the German side to continue to invest in our country and region, to seek and remove all obstacles and barriers on the way. Such discussions as the present one help to bring our positions closer and together follow the path of success in economic relations as well as in other spheres," said Igor Galas.
He also noted that the decline in the intensity of economic cooperation between Russia and Germany had become an unpleasant cold shower, and at the same time our country effectively overcomed infrastructural constraints. For example, the agricultural sector of Krasnodar is growing at a torrid pace and health resort complex also shows a major increase.
The event was prepared with the participation of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs of Krasnodar administration and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (Germany). The Association of European Businesses Director General in Russia Frank Schauff, President of Siemens in Russia Dietrich Möller, Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of Krasnodar Region and business consultant Alexander Polidi, Head of Moscow office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Julius von Freytag-Loringhoven took part in the discussion.
Moderator Julius von Freytag-Loringhoven said in his statement that the most important thing in the two countries' relations is the openness to one another, continuing dialogue and exchange of ideas, mutual understanding of people and desire to work together in the future to develop economic ties.
"The Russian-German relations have a solid long-term foundation, they are multifaceted, promising and successful. We should make politicians remove all obstacles and return to the sustainable development of economic cooperation among our countries," said Dietrich Möller.
Additionally, today "Expograd Yug" hosted the Russian-German discussions on cooperation in the fields of education, promotion of the Russian and German languages and the prospects for working with young people of the two countries.
