The international exhibition of agricultural machinery, equipment and materials for the production and processing of crop products — ХXIV Agro-Industrial Forum "YUGAGRO" — started work at the Exhibition and Congress complex of Expograd Yug. The Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov participated in the exhibition opening ceremony. On the first day of work, the Mayor of the city discussed the prospects for international cooperation between Krasnodar and the Austrian city of Wels.
— In the last two years, the agrarian machinery fleet of Kuban has underwent a record update. It is an investment in the stable development of the region's economy and the well-being of rural areas. The present exhibition collected the best samples of machinery, advanced world agricultural technologies. Their application is the key to our future success," said the Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev at the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region Yuri Burlachko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to the RF Peter Erickson and the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Russia Renée Jones-Bos.
It is an honorable and significant thing that the largest agricultural exhibition of Russia is held in Krasnodar. This international forum has become our business card. Krasnodar, as the largest agro-city in the country, seriously raised agricultural production and processing using up-to-date technologies and equipment. And this sector of the economy will continue to grow. It is quite logical that our city is very interesting for the companies which want to cooperate and develop in our region," said Evgeny Pervyshov.
The Mayor of the city also added that a major agricultural exhibition was also taking place every two years in the city of Wels, a major agricultural region. It would therefore be interesting for the members of the Austrian delegation to see how the exhibition is organized in Krasnodar. Together with the guests from Austria, Evgeny Pervyshov visited all four pavilions of "YUGAGRO".
"I'm impressed with the scale of the agro-industrial forum and its excellent organization. I'll try to implement this experience in Wels. There are two Austrian companies present in the Russian exhibition. I hope that in the future cooperation in holding joint exhibitions of our cities will be developed," said the First Vice-Burgomaster of Wels Gerhard Kroiß.
"YUGAGRO" covers practically all sectors of agriculture, offering visitors a complete range of equipment and materials to meet the challenges of agro-industrial enterprises (AIE) and Russian farms engaged in crop raising. The exhibition is aimed at the professionals of the agrarian business. More than 680 companies representing 39 regions of Russia and 32 countries took stands in 4 pavilions and 3 open sites of the total area 65 thousand square meters.
The largest agricultural forum in the country will last four days. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 28 to 30 November from 09:00 to 17:00, on 1 December to 15:00.
A formal reception of the Austrian city of Wels representatives was also held in the administration of the capital of Kuban. At the end of October this year the cities signed a memorandum of intent and partnership.
