In Krasnodar City Hall First Deputy Chairman of Krasnodar City Duma Victor Timofeev and Deputy Head of Krasnodar Tatiana Sinyugina held the formal reception of the delegation of People’s Political Consultative Council Committee of P.R.China in Shijingshan District of Beijing.
— On behalf of chief executives of Krasnodar administration and Krasnodar City Duma I express the utmost gratitude for your visit in the capital of Kuban. China has always been and still remains the strategic partner of Russia. Recently, upon the adoption at the national level some significant mutual projects in the sphere of energy, agriculture and processing the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation and dialogue between our countries as well as our regions has increased remarkably, — Victor Timofeev said.
The meeting was also participated by Chairman of People’s Political Consultative Council Committee of P.R.China in Shijingshan District of Beijing Mr. Vu Keruy, Chief of Industry and Commerce in Shijingshan District of Beijing municipality Ms. Ma Lipin, Director of the Department of economic development, investments and external affairs of Krasnodar administration Elena Vasilchenko and Deputy chief of Administrative Department, Chief of the Department of foreign relations and protocol of Krasnodar administration Boris Staroselskiy.
Mr. Vu Keruy emphasized that Shijingshan District is one of the biggest and developed districts of the capital of China. Its square is 84 sq. km, population — 640 thousand people and is situated in the distance of 14 km from Beijing’s center.
— We invite Krasnodar’s businessmen and all residents of your city to visit our district which is renowned not only for its advanced technologies, well-developed public services, stable economic development, GDP growth and level of average salary but also good ecology, great amount of green plantings and situated here world-famous centers of culture and Buddhism. It is not by chance that Shijingshan District is called in China as “the territory of Green Mountains”, — Mr. Vu Keruy said.
According to Chairman of People’s Political Consultative Council Committee of P.R.China in Shijingshan District the aim of Chinese delegation’s visit in Krasnodar is the development of bilateral cooperation, working out and implementation of mutually beneficial projects. One of such projects, by the opinion of Mr. Vu Keruy, would become the territory of 8 square kilometers, vacated in the capital of Beijing after moving outside the district a big iron and steel factory. He proposed Krasnodar’s business to review whether it is possible to make here mutual high-technology industries, research centers an shopping malls.
— 15 year ago Krasnodar hosted the first Scientific and Technical Conference “Russia-China”, an official dialogue has been started in 2006 with the signing of the agreement on cooperation with Harbin. In spite of the fact that the distance between Krasnodar and this big Chinese city is over 5 thousand kilometers we successfully continue our cooperation: this includes achieved contacts with Tander Company, study and research contacts between Krasnodar’s and Harbin’s higher educational institutions. Chinese are very open, friendly and constructive partners. We hope that our relations with Beijing will be successfully developing too, — Boris Staroselskiy said.
During the meeting Ms. Ma Lipin and Elena Vasilchenko exchanged information on the state of small businesses in Shijingshan District and Krasnodar. Elena Vasilchenko told Chinese guests about plans for the development of Eastern Industrial Zone. It was decided to form proposals on mutual cooperation and forward them to the Chinese party for consideration.
