The meeting with German business community was held in Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karlsruhe as part of official visit of Krasnodar delegation headed by Vladimir Evlanov. Representatives of Kuban capital came to Karlsruhe the day before.
— The practice of communication between business representatives of our cities goes further. However at such a level — in Karlsruhe Chamber of Commerce and Industry the meeting takes place for the first time. I’m sure that the meeting lays the foundation of a new stage of partnership relations — friendship and cooperation of our cities in spheres of culture, education and sport are supplemented by economy — common business projects, new enterprises and work places, — Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov commented.
Representatives of business community, leading companies and enterprises of Karlsruhe attended the meeting dedicated to the presentation of Krasnodar economic potential. The meeting was held by chairman of Committee on External Economic Relations of Karlsruhe CCI Robert Huber.
— Krasnodar is a very interesting platform for enterprises of technological area of Karlsruhe. Primarily it is because the city has favourable geopolitical position and a great many of important projects that are under implementation there, — Robert Huber marked.
Deputy Head of Krasnodar Alexander Mikheev presented economic potential of the city. He elaborated on achievements of Krasnodar economic development, investment opportunities and development of business in Kuban capital.
As it was stated, Krasnodar is one of leaders of investment development in Krasnodar Region. In 2013 volume of investments in fixed assets in large and medium-sized enterprises was over 6 billion euros. It is almost a half of all investments attracted into Krasnodar Region. 76 million euros came from foreign investments.
Chief of Southern regional committee of Association of European Businesses in Russia (AEB) Oleg Zharko presented the experience of foreign companies work in Krasnodar. Currently companies from over 40 countries are presented in Kuban capital. Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, USA, Switzerland and Sweden are among the main ones. Totally about 400 foreign capital enterprises work in the city, most of them work for more than 15 years. Among the largest ones are CLAAS, Raiffeisenbank, Philip Morris Kuban, KNAUF.
In the course of presentation representatives of Krasnodar delegation also answered questions from the audience. Major part of them was related to the established “investment climate” within the city and, of course, availability of proper ground for projects implementation including in the territory of forming Eastern Industrial Zone.
— It is of major importance to have infrastructure capacities for the development of economic relations. In this connection the development of industrial park in Eastern Industrial Zone of Krasnodar is especially noteworthy and naturally is of our particular interest, — Robert Huber said.
Summarizing the meeting Robert Huber added that presently they actively work with 11 German enterprises which are interested in doing their businesses in Russia, possibly in Krasnodar. The issue is being worked out with the department of economic development, investments and external affairs. Special committee will be created at CCI of Karlsruhe. It will conduct a range of negotiations with business community in Krasnodar and Karlsruhe and then elaborate complex of measures for most effective interaction between businesses of both cities.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Karlsruhe is an independent organization of businessmen for businessmen. It unites nearly 65 thousand representatives of business. It represents economic and political interests of regional enterprises both at the level of federal land and the whole country.
Particularly, CCI deals with questions related to location of enterprises for the purpose of improvement of their trade performance and acts as adviser for managers and policy-makers. About 2500 businessmen, managers, specialists, chiefs are involved in the work of Chamber of Commerce and Industry on a voluntary basis.
It is to be recalled that Krasnodar delegation came to sister city Karlsruhe. It is led by Krasnodar Mayor Vladimir Evlanov and Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko. Numerous official and business meetings and negotiations are scheduled within five days visit.
There was reception of Krasnodar delegation in Karlsruhe city hall in the first day. Additionally representatives of Kuban capital will take part in International exhibition of consumer products Offerta-2014.
