— With the opening of the Consulate General in Krasnodar we have more opportunities in establishing friendly and partnership ties. Currently out of 500 city enterprises with foreign capital 92 are supported by the Cyprian investors. There are fair prospects for cooperation in the sphere of tourism, healthcare, commerce and processing industry, — Vladimir Evlanov said in his welcoming speech.
Mayor of Krasnodar has also underlined that de facto the Consulate has worked since June of this year and meetings with Mr. Nikos Vasiliou happen on the operating level during various significant events in public life of the city and Region.
Among honourable guests of the ceremony also were Consul-General of Greece in Novorossiysk Fragiskos Kostellenos and acting Chief of Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RF in Krasnodar Sergey Skorodumov.
Georgios Kasulidis expressed satisfaction with the results of his visit in Krasnodar, told about talks which had been conducted during meetings with chief executives of Krasnodar Region and seminars in Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Russia emphasized that he came in Kuban capital for the first time and that it had been for good reason officially to recognize Krasnodar as winner of federal competition for the title of the most well-furnished urban settlement in Russia.
— The opening of the Consulate General in Krasnodar contributes to the development of bilateral cooperation due to geographic proximity, similarity of climate conditions, mentality of southern people and having of direct flights, — Georgios Kasulidis said.

Creative program was performed by actors of music collective of one of the biggest and most popular resorts of Cyprian coast — Paralimni. The meeting participants expressed their readiness to be more active in getting in creative contacts and setting close cooperation between Kuban State University and Cyprian University.
