Today during discussions on the project of General plan of the city Head of Kuban capital gave special priority to the forming of new green areas.
— We need to hold negotiations with real estate developers that via auctions of the Russian Housing Development Foundation received big land masses for residential construction with allocated at that territories municipal park areas of at least 13 hectares to be transferred to the city, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
Head of Krasnodar also remarked that many approaches to the questions of landscaping embodied in documentation of General plan 2012 went out of date and need to be reviewed. In particular it concerns determining areas of green spaces and their mandatory registration in the cadastre.
— In recent years together with Krasnodar City Duma we have taken measures to name green spaces. 76 such territories have been already named and we should continue our efforts to protect these garden squares, parks, boulevards from building-up. We are going to improve them, — Vladimir Evlanov stated.
For the first time General plan stipulates the creation of continuous chain of connected green spaces, so called “linear parks”. All Karasun ponds are to be united into a single recreation area which according to the plan of the municipal authorities should be turned into a full-featured leisure area for citizens.
Additionally, according to the designs of architects new General plan will provide conditions for the development of city’s “silhouette” along Kuban River, creation of embankment equipped with modern amenities and integrated with existing green spaces. Coast-protection structures will be also created there.
Vladimir Evlanov underlined that parks and territories along Kuban River are suggested to be categorized as specially protected natural areas of local and regional significance. The corresponding order was given by Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev.
