Today official reception of delegation from University of Technology and Economics arrived from German sister-city was held in Krasnodar City administration.
– Ties of the closest friendship and effective cooperation connect Krasnodar and Karlsruhe for more than 20 years. Our contacts in sphere of education, science, culture and sport are dynamically and consistently developing. Your visit to our city and participation in the Russian language studying educational program are yet more proof of that fact. I’m sure that you’ll be pleased with Krasnodar, see and get to know many interesting things as well as make acquaintance with new friends, – Vladimir Evlanov said.
Kuban capital Head greeted guests and remarked that the program of bilateral cooperation between Kuban State University and University of Technology and Economics of Karlsruhe gains further development.
The reception was also participated by First Vice-chairman of Krasnodar City Duma Victor Timofeev, Director of the department of education Aleksey Nekrasov and Deputy Chief of Administrative Department, chief of the Department of foreign relations and protocol of Krasnodar administration Boris Staroselskiy.
10 students studying the program of Russian language are in delegation from Germany. Head of delegation, graduated technical editor Rolf Gerhard Junghanns thanked his friends from KubSU and Krasnodar administration for readiness to discuss problems and find solutions jointly.
– Thanks for a warm reception. This proves that sister-city relations are on the upgrade, at highest point of development. I’m glad to witness vivid friendship between our cities and countries. It is gratifying to emphasize that value of the Russian language among German youth is growing and I’m pleased to be a participant of these sister-city relations, – head of German delegation said.
Further development of bilateral contacts between higher educational institutions of Krasnodar and Karlsruhe was discussed in the course of reception. It is expected that guests will acquaint themselves with history and culture of the city and Krasnodar Region, visit Black Sea coast and Gelendzhik.
It was also remarked that exchange of delegations between Kuban State University and University of Technology and Economics gives future specialist the opportunity to get joint professional experience, get to know more about systems of higher education of both countries, find potential partners and establish long-term contacts.
The history of Kuban State University began on September 6, 1920. From the late 1940s to January 1970 this higher educational institution was called as Krasnodar State Pedagogical University of 15th anniversary of Komsomol. Then it was reorganized into Kuban State University. Today 24 thousand people study in KubSU and 1100 people are in teaching staff including – 3 members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), member of the RAS Presidium, nearly 100 academicians and corresponding members of various Russian academies, 3 laureates of the Russian Federation State Prize in science and engineering, laureates of different level prizes, merited scientists, more than 130 Doctors of Science, Professors, more than 500 Candidates of Science, assistant professors. Kuban State University has many partners among higher educational institutions around the world, including German ones, such as: University of Technology and Economics of Karlsruhe, German Archeological University (Berlin), University of Applied, Technical and Economic Sciences (Berlin), Higher Pedagogical School of Karlsruhe, Walter Eucken Business School (Karlsruhe), Frederician Technical University (Karlsruhe), RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (Wiesbaden).
University of Technology and Economics of Karlsruhe is one of the biggest educational institutions in Baden-Wurttemberg federal land that has applied orientation. About 8 thousand students study at this university. When graduating from the university they receive bachelorhood or take master's degree. Studying process involves technical, economic, engineering and computer disciplines. The university comprises 6 departments: architecture and building, electrical engineering and information technologies, computer science and business-informatics, information management and mass media, mechanic engineering and mechatronics as well as economics department. This university has established contacts with more than 300 institutions of higher education from 30 countries.
