From August 5 to 30, 2019, students of higher education institutions from sister cities and partners of Krasnodar do an internship at three foreign-owned enterprises — Cargill, Nestle Kuban and a branch of KNAUF-GYPSUM. This youth exchange started last year, when students from Harbin, Karlsruhe and Nancy for the first time have done an internship in the offices of the regional center companies. On August 8, Chairwoman of the City Duma Vera Galushko and Deputy Mayor of Krasnodar Artem Doronin held an official reception of the foreign delegation.
"I thank the management of the enterprises for supporting this idea and joining the implementation of this international project. It's a good start. It is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with our city, its traditions, history and culture, economic processes, as well as to improve their knowledge of the Russian language. Cooperation between our cities develops in different spheres and branches, and first of all — in the field of youth policy. It gives the prospect and future of our friendship and our contacts," told Vera Galushko.
This year 3 students from the sister cities of Karlsruhe (Germany), Nancy (France), and the partner city of Krasnodar Nottingham (Great Britain) do practical work at the enterprises of Krasnodar. Within 4 weeks, the foreign guests from three countries — Paul Thomé, Jean-Christian Hartemann and Johannes Kutscher — do an internship in companies Cargill, KNAUF-GIPS and Nestlé Kuban.
Now the project is being implemented in the German Karlsruhe and the French Nancy — the sister cities of Krasnodar. Students come to these cities in August to do an internship in divisions and departments of local administrations. These very days students of the Kuban State University do practical work in Nancy and Karlsruhe.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the management of companies participating in this international project, branch Director, Сoordinator of South Regional Comittee of the Association of European Businesses Juliana Perederiy, Director of the Department of international relations of KubSU Galina Govorova.
"This is my first visit to Krasnodar. On the one hand I am very impressed with the rich history of the city, on the other — with its modern development, the way how it confidently looks to the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to see how a large international company works, to get the necessary experience and knowledge. I do my internship for several days, and by this time I've already felt myself as a part of big team, employees of the company perceive me as their colleague," said Paul Thomé.
