Comparative analysis of socioeconomic development carried out among the largest cities of SFD for the period from January to September of the past year showed that the capital of Kuban is in advance of other capitals of Southern Federal District by 16 from 31 indicators of socioeconomic development.
— Comparative analysis is carried out as part of information exchange between capital cities of SFD constituent entities. This makes possible to estimate competitiveness of Krasnodar’s economy, its efficiency and view the position of regional center in comparison with the other capitals of southern Russia. The results of 9 months of 2014 demonstrated that Kuban capital has a stable growth in many directions allowing the city to keep the lead by 16 from 31 indicators, — one in the department of economic development, investments and external affairs commented.
Specialists of Krasnodar City administration carry out on a quarterly basis the analysis of the main indicators of socioeconomic development of Krasnodar and other administrative centers of SFD constituent entities: Rostov-on-Don, Maikop, Volgograd, Elista and Astrakhan. Data of Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS) is taken as a basis for the study. Estimation was made in 31 areas. According to statistics for January-September 2014 Kuban capital leads in 16 positions among other cities of SFD.
Particularly, Krasnodar takes the first position in growth rate of shipped goods of own production, works done and services rendered by large and medium-sized enterprises (in processing industry). The growth rate for 9 months of 2014 made 119,3% to the same period of 2013 (Volgograd takes second place having 117,0%). According to investment activity Krasnodar is first (161 bln roubles) and Astrakhan second (55,7 bln roubles). Kuban capital also leads in volume of paid services rendered to population by large and medium-sized enterprises (over 47 bln roubles), Volgograd is ranked second (almost 24 bln roubles).
Krasnodar takes the lead in volume of commissioned residential houses with the use of all sources of financing (over 1,3 mln square meters for 9 months), and in quantity of commissioned houses per one thousand citizens — 1529,4 square meters. In terms of this parameter Rostov-on-Don is second (800 ths square meters are commissioned and 720,7 square meters per one thousand citizens).
The lowest level of unemployment — 0,2% and the highest average monthly salary at large and medium-sized enterprises — over 36 ths roubles are still remarked in Krasnodar.
By the results of the analysis of social and economic development of SFD cities from January to September 2014, Rostov-on-Don leads by 5 indicators, Maikop, Volgograd and Astrakhan — by 3 indicators and Elista by 1 from 31 indicators.
Comparative analysis has been carried out by municipal administration since 1998. Presently the assessment of indicators of social and economic development of Krasnodar is made in comparison to other capital cities of SFD constituent entities: Rostov, Volgograd Regions and the Republics of Kalmykia and Adygea. The information for analysis making is provided by territorial bodies of FSSS in every constituent entity of Southern Federal District.
It is to be recalled that following the results of 2013 Krasnodar became the leader of SFD by most indicators of socioeconomic development.
