Vice Mayor of Krasnodar Dmitry Logvinenko discussed with the deputy of the Chinese National People's Congress Cheung Tsun Yung Thomas and the members of the Chinese delegation, the expanding partnerships, cooperation and exchange of experience between representatives of the Hong Kong and Krasnodar communities of experts in the field of information technologies.
"The current stage of development of bilateral relations between Krasnodar and China in all fields is characterized by dynamic growth and high indicators. In recent years, along with Italy and Turkey, People's Republic of China is one of the main trade-economic partners of our city. In particular, the city of Krasnodar and Harbin have long-standing sister city relationship. We are ready to discuss specific steps to deepen cooperation, especially in trade and economic sphere, to share experience in the field of information technologies and to develop cultural ties," said Dmitry Logvinenko during the official reception of the Chinese delegation.
The event was attended by the deputy Director of the department of economic development, investments and external relations of municipal administration Artem Anatsky, partner of Sino Vest Capital Company Hae Han Johnny, Chief of the department of information and communication technologies Evgeny Prokhorov, deputies of Krasnodar City Duma Andrey Razzorenov and Maxim Burlachko, chiefs of structural divisions of administration of the Kuban capital, the business representatives.
In his speech Dmitry Logvinenko also emphasized that the development of modern information technologies is a promising direction of international cooperation for now. Krasnodar has concluded two investment agreements on 730 million rubles in the field of information and communication technologies. Implementation of one in Krasnodar will lead to the emergence of IT-park — unique, high-tech ground providing its residents with a full range of services for realization of business ideas and innovative solutions. The modernization of urban cellular networks has been carried out.
In addition, data centers appear in Krasnodar. They provide services for the companies of federal significance.
"In recent years there has been an increase in trade between China and Russia, I see a lot of opportunities for interaction between Krasnodar and Hong Kong. In the near future in the suburbs of Hong Kong the construction of IT-city will begin, and we are extremely interested in establishing cooperation in the field of information technologies. After all, Russia has some of the world's best IT professionals. I believe that now it is the most favorable time to build East-West cooperation, and our cities could also contributed to the development of cooperation between the two countries," said Mr. Cheung Tsun Yung Thomas.
In the course of negotiations the parties agreed to continue discussions on the prospects of intensifying cooperation in the field of information technologies.
The parties are also ready to establish cooperation in the tourist and cultural spheres.
