Existing problems in the sphere of city construction and green areas development in the capital of Kuban became the key themes of the round table which was held in office of newspaper “Novaya Gazeta Kubani”. The subject under discussion – “Krasnodar: a view of the city’s authorities, business and community on the development of the capital of Kuban”.
Within the round table discussion a range of most pressing issues related to the construction sphere in Krasnodar was raised. Infill construction, illegal construction, number of storeys in the construction, the city vegetation enhancement were among topics. Besides that participants deliberated on findings of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly working group. The group has analyzed the situation of green areas in municipal formations of the Region and found some breaches in this sphere in Krasnodar. They have also talked about tasks given by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev at the meeting with Krasnodar citizens in September – to stop infill construction, strictly adhere to general city planning scheme and rules for land use and development, cooperate with the developers more actively and attract them to the creation of engineering and social infrastructure facilities.
When speaking at the round table session, First Deputy Head of Krasnodar Mikhail Frolov underlined that the city general planning scheme is a basic document for all city construction activities in Krasnodar. At the moment although it needs to be brought to conformity with today’s realities.
