Today several topical grounds opened in Chistyakovskaya grove. At the opening of festival citizens were congratulated by Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko.
— This holiday is relatively young however it has already obtained a special attitude of people in our city. The previous year we opened the monument of St. Peter and Fevronia at the territory of St. Pokrovsky temple and the place has already become a remarkable one for Krasnodar citizens. A great deal is done for the support of large families, motherhood and childhood protection, — Vera Galushko underlined.
Married couples who have lived together in love and concord for dozens of years, large and foster families were honoured at the festival.
Commemorative medals «For love and fidelity» were handed over to two married couples while others were awarded with letters of gratitude on behalf of administration and Krasnodar City Duma.
The festivities included the Healthcare Day under slogan «Healthy family — strong country». Citizens could take diagnostic medical testing and consult an expert.
Also there was a ground for young families, sporting contests, trivia games and allcomers, concert program of creative collectives.
Today there are more than 250 thousand families and over 220 foster families bringing up 328 children in Krasnodar. Totally more than 188 thousand children live in Kuban capital.
