Today a meeting and concert dedicated to 24th anniversary of enactment of Declaration on state sovereignty of the Russian Federation took place at Pushkin Square in Krasnodar. More than 10 thousand Krasnodar citizens and the city guests attended the event.
— Day of Russia unites all people who desire welfare to our state; this is the holiday of all Russian citizens and every of us individually. Now our country feels special patriotic uplift seeing that Crimea has recently reunited with Russia. This day Krasnodar itself has a lot to be proud of — it keeps leading positions among Russian cities. In the closest future through common efforts we will make living conditions in the city even more comfortable. I wish wonderful people — Krasnodar citizens — good health, welfare, creativeness and consent! — Vladimir Evlanov addressed the people gathered at square.
The event participants were also congratulated by assistant secretary of Krasnodar regional branch of All-Russian political party “United Russia”, deputy of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Nikolay Gritsenko, chairman of the city council of veterans, Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly deputy Ivan Rybalko, chairman of board of Krasnodar regional public organization “Center of national cultures”, member of social movement “For Faith, Kuban and Fatherland” Oleg Georgizov, representative of Krasnodar local branch of All-Russian public organization “Young Guard of United Russia” Alena Filimonenko.

Traditionally onstage Krasnodar Head handed over Russian Passports to 10 Krasnodar citizens aged 14.
The event at Pushkin Square was participated by more than10 thousand citizens and Kuban capital guests: representatives of youth public associations, Krasnodar regional branch of All-Russian public organization “Young Guard of United Russia”, activists, members and supporters of Krasnodar local branch of “United Russia” party.
Start of this 24th year of new Russia is marked with unheard-of uplift, patriotism and unity of nation after our victory at Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Culture is a reflection of patriotism and this year is declared in our country to be a year of culture, — Ivan Rybalko said.
After meeting the holiday was continued with a concert program – folk and rock group “Region-93”, groups “Formula” and “Victor” as well as famous Russian actor and singer Ed Shulzhevskiy presented their performances onstage. Festive fireworks crowned the evening.
