Official reception of the Turkish delegation was held in the city administration. During the meeting the parties discussed prospects of cooperation in trade-economic sphere.
"There are a longstanding business contacts and friendship between Krasnodar and the Republic of Turkey. For many years Turkey has remained one of the main trade and economic partners of our city, along with Germany and China. In the regional center large-scale joint projects, including shopping center "Oz Mall", a new modern football stadium of FC Krasnodar, several residential microdistricts have been implemented. I'm sure, further cooperation will help us to implement new projects in many areas and spheres," said Evgeny Pervyshov.
Also the Mayor of Krasnodar told about the main indicators of socio-economic development of the regional center, noting the main branches of the city's economy — the instrument engineering and metalworking, production of building materials, garments and knitwear, furniture, tobacco products, food and agricultural products, developed construction sector, two operating industrial parks and three more ones which are being created in Krasnodar.
The meeting was also attended by General Consul of Turkey in Novorossiysk Mr. Yunus Emre Özigci, Secretary General at Kocaeli Chamber of Industry Mr. Memet Turabi, Director of the Department of economic development, investments and external relations of Krasnodar administration Elena Vasilchenko, Chairman of the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar Region" Alexander Tkachenko.
"The purpose of our visit is to talk about the potential of the Kocaeli province of Turkey, representatives of which came together with me, to identify new areas where we can cooperate with your city, and to prepare for the next big business visit of the Turkish delegation to Krasnodar. Kocaeli is one of the most economically developed and fastest growing regions in our country. The region’s best-developed industry sectors are mechanical engineering, metal-working and chemical production," said Mr. Yunus Emre Özigci.
Evgeny Pervyshov, in his turn, stressed the importance and significance of the support rendered by Mr. Yunus Emre Özigci in the development of business contacts between Krasnodar and Turkey and expressed readiness to promote joint investment projects and proposals.
The delegation of Turkey is in the regional capital for a two-day business trip. On the first day the guests visited one of the industrial parks in the city, attended Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar Region and had a look at the agricultural products processing complex.
Today Krasnodar has about 30 enterprises with Turkish capital, most of them work in the spheres of construction and commerce. By the end of 2017 the volume of trade turnover between enterprises of Krasnodar and Turkey amounted to about 156 million dollars, of which 95 million are exports and 61 million - import.
