Vladimir Evlanov and Mayor of People’s government of Harbin (PRC) Song Xibin and members of the Chinese delegation discussed the expanding of partnership ties between sister cities, development of bilateral cooperation in the area of education, economy, culture, agriculture and tourism.
— We are ready to discuss concrete steps on enhancing the interaction, firstly in trade-economic sphere, to discuss investment projects concerning creation industrial facilities and construction works as well as to deepen cultural contacts. Today we have conditions and capabilities for that end, — Vladimir Evlanov said in the course of official reception of Harbin’s delegation held in administration of Krasnodar.
— In recent years one can observe an increase in exchange of goods between China and Russia, our countries are connected with 12 various flights. We are very eager to develop trade-logistic chain for the strengthening of goods exchange. I think that now it is the most favourable time for our cities to contribute to the development of our countries’ cooperation, — Mr. Song Xibin said.
During the talks the parties made an appointment to provide products of both cities through the dedicated trade platforms.
— For example, trade houses of sister cities can be founded in Harbin and Krasnodar already this year. We support the idea of our Chinese partners to open shops of home-made goods in both cities, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
They also came to an agreement to present Krasnodar products in Harbin’s exhibition pavilion which is soon to be opened in Beijing.
Other topics were also discussed — creation of Chinese manufactories for the production of household appliances and processing of agricultural products at the territory of Krasnodar, implementation of investment projects in the construction sphere etc.
Representatives of Harbin delegation shared impressions on visiting Kuban State Agrarian University where there are, among others, lecturers from China. In the course of the meeting they talked about prospects for using of scientific potential to create knowledge-intensive industries.
The parties are willing to continue cooperation in spheres of tourism and culture. In particular, they agreed on exchange of Russian and Chinese language teachers, practical training of students and school children in both countries, intensifying activities in tourism sector. In the beginning of autumn folklore groups of Krasnodar will go to Harbin.
During the meeting Mayor of People’s government of Harbin invited representatives of Krasnodar to take part in the second Russian-Chinese EXPO — the biggest Russian-Chinese economic forum which is held in Harbin every year and in Harbin’s international ice and snow festival in January of the next year.
Additionally, the Kuban capital enterprises will be able to take part in annual beer festival that will be held in Harbin on June 26.
All the agreements reached during the reception will be finalized in the form of agreement on cooperation and transmitted to the parties to be signed in the coming days.
As it was reported earlier, the Chinese delegation visit started with an excursion around Kuban capital last weekend. Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov acquainted foreign guests with the sights of Krasnodar.
Besides of that, members of the Chinese delegation were officially received in administration of Krasnodar Region. The meeting was chaired by First Vice-Governor of Kuban Dzhambulat Khatuov.
It is to be recalled that the first contacts between Krasnodar and Harbin were set in 2006. In July 2008 in Harbin parties signed an agreement on establishing sister city relations.
