Today Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov met up with delegation of socialists from the Republic of Moldova. The reception took place in administration of the capital of Kuban.
— Krasnodar is the city where representatives of 120 nationalities live in peace and consent. It is one of the most comfortable for living and business-friendly cities of the country. Krasnodar Center of national cultures unites over 35 non-governmental organizations engaged in preservation and development of national cultures and traditions. I believe that your visit in Kuban capital contributes to our dialogue, strengthens mutual understanding and friendship, socioeconomic and cultural cooperation, — Vladimir Evlanov said in his welcome speech.
Head of the capital of Kuban told delegation members about social and economic development of Krasnodar, its cultural and sport life, achievements in the construction sphere, development of agroindustrial sector and also about sister-city relations of Krasnodar with Karlsruhe (Federal Republic of Germany), Burgas (Bulgaria), Nottingham (Great Britain), Harbin (P.R. China), Tallahassee (the US) Ferrara (Italy) and Sukhumi (Abkhazia). Presently 44 students from Moldova study in higher educational institutions of Krasnodar. Many of that students take part in Krasnodar festivals “Songs and dances of people of the world”.
The reception was attended by Krasnodar City Duma Chairwoman Vera Galushko, Deputy Head of Krasnodar Sergey Vasin and Deputy Chief of administrative department, Chief of the department of foreign relations and protocol of Krasnodar administration Boris Staroselskiy.
The goal of delegation’s visit is establishing contacts between representatives of legislative and executive bodies, the development of mutually advantageous cooperation between counties.
— We came to the region and its capital for the first time and have already managed to see and estimate achievements and success of Krasnodar. Your city can serve as a model for the majority of Moldavian cities. When looking at the way and manner of the development of Krasnodar it becomes clear that the city is headed by wise and experienced chief, — head of the delegation, Chairman of socialists party Igor Dodon emphasized.
The meeting participants talked about prospects for further bilateral socioeconomic and cultural cooperation.
— With Russia we have common religion, shared past, common nowadays and I’m sure we have common future too, — Igor Dodon said.
Party of socialists of the Republic of Moldova – is opposition political party. In the parliamentary elections of 2014 the party has mustered 20,51% of votes. It heads on to cooperation with Russia, intensifying political dialogue and partnership in economic, scientific and technical sphere, cultural ties for the benefit of both countries citizens.
