Over 12 thousands citizens gathered on the main square of Kuban capital to show their resentment as for events in Ukraine and support residents of fraternal state. Attendees were addressed by Governor of Krasnodar Region Alexander Tkachev.
— Traditions of mutual aid and mutual supportiveness have been always strong in Kuban. We have rebuilt waterflood-stricken Krymsk as well as helped those people who reside in deluge areas in the Far East. We couldn’t but doing it. And today we gather here to support brothers and compatriots who found themselves in epicenter of terrible political events in Ukraine. With a sore heart we watch our relatives, friends, fellowmen are crying for help at the farther shore by Kuban boundaries. For our part we are ready to assert and defend the Russian-Ukrainian friendship, brotherhood of our peoples! Hail to Russia! Hail to Ukraine! Hail to Kuban! — Alexander Tkachev said.
Head of Krasnodar Region administration also underlined that Kuban is ready to render humanitarian aid to Ukrainian people who live in areas stricken by vandalism of oppositionists as well as receive everybody who are exposed to violence.
Before rally’s start its participants marched along Krasnaya Street from Zhukov garden square to Theatre Square. Together with citizens Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov participated in the meeting.
Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko also addressed to gathered people from the stage:
— All happening in Ukraine cuts to my heart. Surely we hope that all the things needed will be done to end this terror and bring security, stability and peace to the Ukrainian land!
Besides of that co-chairperson of Krasnodar regional branch “National Front for Russia!”, deputy of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Svetlana Bessarab, beneficiary of Christmas temple, archpriest Alexander Ignatov and other public persons also appeared on the stage.
At the end of the meeting gathered people accepted a resolution in support of Ukrainian people and peacekeeping policy of federal authorities which is directed to stability and peace in fraternal state.
