The biggest in the south of Russia Forum uniting domestic and foreign specialists of architecture and civil engineering opens in Krasnodar today. For the first time the event is held in Exhibition and Congress venue “Expograd-Yug” with an address at Kongressnaya Street, 1.
— Krasnodar is in top three throughout the country in the volume of housing construction. For our city it is very significant and important to host such big and representative architectural Forum. In the past year record volume of residential housing – over 2 million sq.m. have been commissioned in Krasnodar. Presently due to economic situation there is a reduction in construction activity. But all the same, city-planning and architectural issues are of great importance for us. Today with the support of Krasnodar Region administration and Kuban Governor we are revising approaches to the city-planning policy in Krasnodar. We believe particular proposals and solutions for the benefit of Krasnodar, region and country residents will be elaborated during the exhibition, — Head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov said during the opening ceremony.
The Forum is organized by KrasnodarEXPO Company (part of the ITE group of companies) with the assistance of Krasnodar Region and Krasnodar City administrations.
This year the exhibition is participated by nearly 400 companies from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Spain, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Finland and also for the first time from the Republic of Crimea. Over 100 participants represent Krasnodar Region and Krasnodar.
— The fact that such a representative exhibition is held today in a challenging economic environment in the biggest in Kuban exhibition center assembling several hundred participants from Russia and other countries proves once again that our region is of interest and is advantageous for the construction sphere investors. We have four intensive and fruitful working days ahead. I’m sure it will result in new business contacts and solutions providing the basis for the formation of city-planning policy in our region, — Vice-Governor of Kuban Yuri Gritsenko said.
Also the exhibition opening ceremony taking place in one of congress hall pavilions was participated by Chairman of the Committee for Industry, Construction and Housing and Utility Services of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly Nikolai Denisov, Chief Architect of Krasnodar Region Yuri Rysin, Vice-President of the Russian Architecture Union, Merited architect of Russia Victor Churilov, CEO of KrasnodarEXPO Company Elena Telnova.
The whole of exposition occupies a floor space of about 20 ths sq. m. Pavilions displays up-to-date building and finish materials, engineering equipment, construction machinery and architectural designs. They are divided into11 topic sections: “Building materials”, “Finish materials”, “Bathroom fixtures”, “Doors & Locks”, “Floor covering”, “Facades & Roofing”, “Equipment & Materials for improvement and landscaping of the territories”, “Construction-site equipment, machinery and implements” and others. Separate section is dedicated to architectural designs of International festival “Architecture Days”.
YugBuild offers an extensive business program: throughout four days there will be thematic conferences, workshops, presentations and panel discussions.
It is to be recalled that International exhibition YugBuild is the biggest in the south of Russia exhibition of building and finish materials, engineering equipment, building implements and architectural designs which has been held since 1996.
Every year the exhibition participants, manufacturers and suppliers of building and finish materials, engineering equipment, construction-site implements have an opportunity to increase sales volumes and attract new customers through the displaying their own products to chiefs and specialists of targeted enterprises of wholesale and retail trade and also to representatives of architecture design and construction organizations of South Russia.
