New Year theatrical performance “Krasnodar meets the coming year” took place on the main city square. 13 thousand citizens viewed the show. The concert and fireworks created a festive mood of people who came to the square.
— The year of 2014 was not an easy one, but really highly-charged. This year has been rich of milestone, historical events in the life of our country and our Region. There was an exciting and the best on the results for our national team Winter Olympiad. There was reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. On the initiative of Governor Alexander Tkachev and with assistance of all citizens we have carried out a tremendous work on urban land improvement and creation of the single architectural look of Krasnodar. Hundreds facades, yards and sidewalks were improved as well as the city got rid of excessive advertising. I’m convinced that all positive and promising approaches will continue in New Year! Let the New Year 2015 bring you and your relatives as much as possible pleasure and success! — Vladimir Evlanov said.
The city Head remarked that 2015 will be marked by the development of major directions in Krasnodar, including renovation of municipal public transport fleet, construction of new kindergartens and reconstruction of existing ones. Totally we plan to create 5 thousand new places in children's pre-school institutions. The development of industrial park within the territory of Eastern Industrial Zone will continue. As according to Vladimir Evlanov this will create new high-paying places of work and taxes essential for the development and improvement of Krasnodar.
Besides that, new roads will be constructed and old ones repaired; specialists continue improvement and development of urban infrastructure.
The tradition to meet New Year on Theatre Square established more than 20 years ago. This year artists of creative association “Premiere” prepared colorific theatrical show for citizens and guests of Kuban capital.
The New Year program which lasted more than two hours was participated by musical show-theatre “Premiere”, vocal-choreographic ensemble “Rodnik”, artists of Youth Theatre. Directors of New Year theatrical performance prepared interactive games with viewers, contests with surprises and draw games, New Year laser show and original author’s music.
13 thousand citizens and the city guests came to Theatre Square to meet New Year. Over 200 policemen secured public order.
There was a picturesque firework in the conclusion of the celebration. This lighted up the whole sky in first minutes of new year.
