The solemn event was held on January 23 in the park of the 30th anniversary of the Victory on the square in front of Exhibition hall of Military Glory. This year it is dedicated to the opening of the Year of memory and glory in Krasnodar and the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Also on this day, the all-Russian memorial event of Blockade Bread, dedicated to the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi occupation, was launched in the regional center. The event was attended by the Chairwoman of the City Duma Vera Galushko, Vice Mayor of Krasnodar Alexei Udovenko, Head of the regional security department of the Krasnodar Region administration Evgeny Chuprov.
The ceremony was held in different places of the city on January 18 and 19. In the regional center, 8 places were arranged for baptismal ablutions. On the eve of the Epiphany and on Epiphany Day, the rite of the Great Blessing of the Waters was performed in all the churches of the Yekaterinodar diocese, at water bodies, near the fonts.
The memorial event will be held in the Kuban capital from January 18 to 27. The event launches the Year of memory and glory and is intended to remind of the courage and heroism of the residents of Leningrad who survived the siege of the city in the Great Patriotic War.
On February 12, 1943, Soviet troops dislodged the Hitler's occupiers from the capital of Kuban. Traditionally, a series of events dedicated to the memorable date was opened with a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers, which was held on the square in front of the memorial "Victims of fascism" in Chistyakov grove. More than 5,5 thousand citizens took part in it. The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region Yuri Burlachko, Vice-Governor of Kuban Alexey Kopaigorodsky, the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov took part in the ceremony.
A solemn meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Soviet army withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Day of memory of the Russians who performed their duties outside the Fatherland, was held at the Palace of Arts "Premiere" on February 8. It was attended by the first Deputy Mayor of Krasnodar Sergey Vasin and Deputy Chairman of the City Duma Vladimir Nedilko.
The official opening ceremony of the regional military-patriotic month, which was held on January 23 in the Park of the 30th Anniversary of Victory on the square in front of the Military Glory exhibition hall was attended by 7,5 thousand citizens. In 2019, the patriotic action is held under the motto "Military duty — honor and destiny!".
Traditionally, August 22 — on the Russian Federation Flag Day — the Theatre square of the Kuban capital held a rally and a ceremony of raising the flag on the flagpole. The event was attended by more than 6,5 thousand people. The Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko congratulated people on this holiday.
The participants marched down Krasnaya Street from the garden square of Marshal Zhukov to the Eternal Flame with portraits of their relatives — participants of the Great Patriotic War. People's column was welcomed by the Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region Yuri Burlachko and the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.
Solemn event dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the death of Commander-in-Chief of the Volunteer Army, General Lavr Kornilov, was held on April 14 in Krasnodar. Over two thousand residents of the city and region came to the memorial of Kornilov and victims of the civil war to honor the memory of died people.
On the Day of the defender of Fatherland the solemn ceremony was participated by the Governor of Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratiev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Yuri Burlachko, Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov and Chairman of the City Duma Vera Galushko. More than 3 thousand people came to the Eternal Flame.
