On the morning of 30 November in Novorossiysk there was a ceremony to celebrate the returning of submarine "Krasnodar", patronized by the capital of Kuban, from a military campaign in the Mediterranean Sea. The delegation of the regional centre was headed by Vice-Mayor of Krasnodar Dmitry Logvinenko.
"We know that you took part in the anti-terrorist operation in the Mediterranean Sea against the terrorist group ISIS, banned in Russia, with cruise missiles successfully struck the bases of the militants, fulfilled other combat tasks — clearly performed joint actions together with the frigates of the Black Sea Fleet "Admiral Essen" and "Admiral Grigorovich". I am convinced that this is only the beginning of a glorious and successful military path of the submarine," said Dmitry Logvinenko.
On the morning of 30 November, the submarine arrived at the port of hail, where "Krasnodar" submarine is part of a separate brigade of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet.
Previously, the submarine commander, Captain 2nd rank Stanislav Rzhitskiy, visited Krasnodar and planted a tree in the City Garden.
The administration of Krasnodar officially patronize the submarine from the time of the beginning of its construction. The delegation of the capital of Kuban took part in the official start of construction of a new submarine at the ”Admiralty Shipyards” in St. Petersburg in 2014.
The submarine "Krasnodar" is the fourth diesel-electric submarine of a special project that is being implemented by OAO "Admiralty Shipyards" for the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
