A new office of the largest foreign company in region was ceremonially opened in the capital of Kuban. The center will service all divisions of Danone Company based in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The ceremony itself took place in one of rooms of new Business service center. Among participants was Vladimir Evlanov.
— It is of particular importance and significance for Krasnodar that business center of known worldwide Danone Company which will virtually work for three countries is opening here. That says a lot. It means first that despite difficult economic situation, international business is sustainably developing in Russia, in Krasnodar Region and our city. Krasnodar continues to be the city attractive for investors. I’m sure it is far not the limit and the presence of the company in our region and city will be expanding ever more. Today there are all prerequisites for that. I thank Danone Company for such attention to Krasnodar, creating new jobs and contributing to the city economy. I hope our cooperation will be developing further and you’ll be actively involved in the life of our city, — Vladimir Evlanov said.
The Joint Business service center Danone is situated in one of administrative buildings of Krasnodar to the address Tramvainaya Street, 2/6. It will provide a wide range of services and perform operations for all divisions of the company (factories and branches) in Russia, the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan. Particularly, the center activity relates to recruitment and selection, procurements and financial operations.
CEO of Danone Russia JSC, Vice-President of the department of fresh dairy products in CIS countries Bernard Ducros addressed to the audience on behalf of Danone international company.
— I’m happy to greet you at the opening of our new Center. This brings over 300 jobs. Uniting different procedures in a one office allows enhancing the quality of the services to our business and personnel performance appraisal. We chose Krasnodar Region because your region has become our major partner. There are a lot of educational establishments and qualified specialists in this city. On behalf of the whole Danone Company I would like to express gratitude to the regional and city Government for cooperation. Here are all necessary conditions to develop our business successfully. I’m sure that together we’ll be able to raise Krasnodar to a new qualitative level, — Bernard Ducros said.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Governor of Kuban Igor Galas, regional director of the department for corporate governance and interaction with state bodies of group of companies Danone in Russia Oleg Zharko, Chairman of Krasnodar Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yuri Tkachenko, employees of Business service center.
— Danone Company is taking strong and confident position on the market of Russia and Krasnodar Region for a long time. The company came in our country in 1992. Since then, it has invested largely in the development of own factories, including ones in Krasnodar Region. Kuban factories of Danone are leaders in the industrial branch of our region. The opening of new Business service center is another step in partnership relations between the company, city and region. I know the part of the staff here has earlier worked in other subdivisions of the company. So I’m sure after more close acquaintance with Krasnodar you’ll undoubtedly fall in love with it. Living here will become cozy and comfortable for you and your families. For our part we will do render extensive support, — Igor Galas said.
As of today there are two enterprises in Krasnodar Region – branches of Danone Russia JSC: dairy plant “Labinskiy” and plant of canned meats for children “Tikhoretskiy”, and also branch Danone Trade LLC in Krasnodar. Totally over 700 employees of the company work in the region. Total amount of investments exceeded USD 100 million.
At the territory of Russia Danone Group owns 18 enterprises. Overall staff includes more than 10 thousand people. In Russia the company is present in four sectors of business: dairy products, baby foods, foods for particular nutritional uses, water.
Group of companies of Danone in Russia is a part of international Danone Company Groupe which is represented on 5 continents and takes leading positions in the area of healthy food production. Danone owns 190 production centers, about 100 thousand people work in all subdivisions of the company. In 2015 the company’s sales amounted to more than €22 billion.
