Friendly match with participation of representatives of authorities of Krasnodar Region and the city of Krasnodar, sports clubs and chiefs of enterprises was held in support of streetball, and also the international tournament. The All-Russian final round of the Red Bull Reign is held on July 28 on Theatre square of the capital of Kuban.
"Any major sporting competitions, mass and spectacular ones, which attract the best players from different cities and a lot of viewers — this is a great event for the city. I'm glad that the number of such events in our city increases. Today, it is a great atmosphere here. I think this Saturday will be remembered for many. The tournament was great, everyone got a lot of positive impressions of the games in whole, — said the Mayor of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov.
The friendly match was held between games of the qualifying round, it started on 16.00. The "blue" team consisted of Krasnodar Mayor Evgeny Pervyshov, Minister of economy of Krasnodar Region Alexander Ruppel and President of the Krasnodar basketball club "Lokomotiv-Kuban" Andrey Vedishchev.
Director of basketball shop Funky Dunky Sergey Levanov, CEO of "Agro-Construction Technologies" company Andrey Rybalkin, manager of the sports club "Pyramid" Ivan Shumilenko played for the "reds".
Both teams showed a bright game. In the end the victory was gained by the team of "blues" with score 10:5.
On July 28, the final round of the All-Russian qualifying streetball Red Bull Reign tournament took place on Theatre square of Krasnodar. The tournament was participated by 8 teams that have won their regional rounds — from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Perm and Krasnodar.
In the All-Russian final the city of Krasnodar was represented by the team "Pyramid". It has won one of the 9 regional qualifiers, which took place in Krasnodar on July 22.
The winner of final round of the All-Russian qualifying tournament, which will be determined on July 28, will go to Washington (USA) to take part in the international final in September this year. The best of the best will play at the legendary basketball court in Barry Farms.
