Hundreds of citizens and guests of Kuban capital took part in “Festival of young wine”

For the second year in a row this festival gathers representatives of well-known vine producers and creative collectives of municipal formations of Krasnodar Region in Krasnodar.

— Festival of young wine is conducted with the purpose of promotion of Kuban wine production. This event is not only the festival of wine-growers, but also folk culture, remarkable native customs, cuisine and traditions. The festival increases the level of Kuban wine recognition, — Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Krasnodar Region Sergey Garkusha said while greeting all participants.

The ceremony of symbolical opening of the first tierce of wine made of this year wine yield introduced the festival.

The festival was participated by tens of branch enterprises which delivered production of a new quality category — wines of geographical denomination and presented already known wine brand names.

Everyone had the possibility to touch popular art — there was an exhibition of arts and crafts products at Theatre square. Various souvenirs made of vine, wood, loam, forge iron, beads, spatter glass attracted attention of the festival participants and guests. More than 20 craftsmen from Krasnodar took part in exhibition of arts and crafts products.

There were a young wines competition and pottery workshop sessions at the square. Additionally renowned Kuban professional and people’s collectives, ensembles of Cossack’s song, creative collective from Republic of Adygeya performed over the course of the festival.

Krasnodar Region is the biggest producer of wine production in the country. 44 enterprises are occupied with production of wine in Kuban; more than a half of them became participants of «Festival of young wine».
