Tourist Information Center welcomes the guests of Krasnodar

In the capital of Kuban on February 26, the day of the Carnival, an excursion for tourists from the Rostov Region was organized by members of municipal budgetary institution "Tourist Information Center".

— Tourist Information centers have been created and continue to be created in many regions and cities of the country. The establishing of such center in the capital of Kuban is a long overdue necessity. Our city is fully prepared to take a big flow of tourists and have all the necessary infrastructure for that end. On the days when mass Carnival celebrations were held in Krasnodar, our city was visited by a group of tourists from the Rostov Region. The arrival of this group in Krasnodar, like many other tourists — is the result of information tour in 2016 held for tour operators and representatives of mass media of the Russian regions, — Deputy Chief of image policy and tourism division of the department of economic development, investments and external affairs Irina Garkina said.

According to information from the organizers, Krasnodar city info tours for professionals of tourist sphere are held annually by the city administration. The purpose of the info tours is to promote wide tourist potential of the capital of Kuban, popularize unique sightseeing attractions, parks, facilities of culture, sport, entertainment and therefore to increase the number of tourists to Kuban capital from the Russian regions.

The organizer of the tour on the Carnival day, February 26, became tour operator "Kaskad" LTD based in the city of Azov, that was the participant of Krasnodar info tour in 2016. Excursion to the historical part of the city was held by Deputy Chief of municipal budgetary institution "Tourist Information Center" Marina Sharapova.

The tour, which began at 10 a.m., started from Military Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, then went to Krasnaya Street and came to an end at the monument to "Cossacks — founders of Kuban land" situated to the address Krasnaya St. 35. During an extensive one hour tour Marina Sharapova told guests of Krasnodar interesting facts from the history of the city, as well as the unknown details about sights and monuments of Kuban capital.

— We are the first time in Krasnodar. We are struck by Krasnodar's rich history, the abundance of beautiful historical monuments and lovely architecture of old buildings. Here we feel the spirit of birth of the Russian statehood, understand the significance and grandeur of Kuban history. People who come here become inspired with the spirit of ancestors and cultural identity of Cossacks. The cleanliness, fine landscaping of Krasnodar and hospitality of citizens are astonishing, — residents of Bataisk Raisa Grechishkina and Valentina Kislitsa shared their impressions.

Then at 13.00 tourists went to Chistyakovskaya Grove to take part in the festive program prepared by cultural institutions of the city.

The info tours for operators and media representatives of the Russian regions are organized by the department of economic development, investments and external affairs of Krasnodar administration under municipal program "The development of tourism in Krasnodar City municipal formation". In 2017 the info tour will be held in Krasnodar for the third time. It is expected that it will be attended by about 40 representatives of tour operators from different regions of the country, including from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Mineralnye Vody, Troitsk, Goryachy Klyutch, Sochi, Tuapse.

The program of info tour 2017 includes the presentation of municipal budgetary institution "Tourist Information Center", which focuses on overall information and excursion support of tourists arriving in the city.
