Turstat analytical agency ranked the most low-cost capitals of Russian regions that are popular for travel in the autumn of 2017.
"According to the agency's findings, the capital of Kuban is among the three leaders in Russia — cities that are popular with tourists, where the cost of leisure is between two and two and a half thousand rubles per day. The travel's daily budget included the average cost of living together in a hotel or apartment, lunch at a café, and a visit to the city museum at the prices of September this year," was commented in the department of economic development, investments and external affairs of Krasnodar administration.
The specialists added that domestic tourism is now gaining popularity. Thereat, Krasnodar can offer tourists more than 6 000 rooms in 250 hotels, as well as more than 1100 public catering facilities. The department specialists consider that the rich offer in this service sector influences pricing.
Top 10 of the most low-cost capitals of the Russian regions, which have a daily budget between 2 and 2.5 thousand rubles per day, included Barnaul, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Volgograd, Smolensk, Kemerovo, Orel, Chelyabinsk, Bryansk and Izhevsk.
According to the Turstat agency data, domestic tourism in Russia may increase to 60 million people this year through the growth of event tourism in the country's regions: gastronomic and ethnographic festivals, cultural events and other activities.
Thus, Krasnodar and Kuban region will host more than 100 events in the autumn of 2017. These are the performances of famous artists, world and Russian sports competitions, festivals, forums and exhibitions.
