Krasnodar fountains start working

All city fountains started working today at 19:00. Krasnodar Head Vladimir Evlanov participated in a solemn ceremony at Theatre Square.

— Already for several years running this event becomes one of the brightest and most spectacular adventures which is accompanied with a broad entertaining program. This time the event is devoted to the Empress Catherine the Great according to whose decree our Yekaterinodar-Krasnodar was founded. Today’s festival is organized in her honor and for all citizens. New fountains are yet another present to the city and citizens. Fountains cascade at Krasnaya Street close to Avrora cinema will be opened very soon. There is no doubt that this place will become one of the most beautiful and popular places for Krasnodar citizens, — Vladimir Evlanov said in his greeting speech.

Three years in succession fountain launching at the main Kuban capital square is held to music of Kuban philharmonic orchestra. Works of Russian and foreign composers were performed under direction of Denis Ivensky. Vladimir Evlanov thanked musicians for a good humour that yearly they give to Krasnodar citizens and city guests.

— Krasnodar has a proud history and great future. I thank all people who have come to the square today. I thank everyone who love the city and take part in a started on the initiative of Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachev program of beautification and improvement of city’s territory. I’m sure that in the closest future our beloved city will become even more beautiful and well-conditioned, — Vladimir Evlanov underlined.

This very time at 19:00 on the dot other fountains were also opened at the square in front of Krasnodar Region Legislative Assembly, Platanovyy Boulevard in Yubileinyy microdistrict, Marshall Zhukov garden square, in front of Book House, near to Saint Martyr Catherine monument in intersection of Krasnaya and Babushkina Streets and also at Festivalnyy garden square at the corner of Atarbekova and Turgeneva Streets.
