Today representative delegation of one of the largest regions of Sothern Federal District led by Chairman of Volgograd Region Duma Nikolay Semisotov is in the capital of Kuban. The aim of the visit is getting to know Krasnodar’s experience in the matter of the development of city infrastructure and urban land improvement within the framework of interregional cooperation.
— We are in Kuban not for the first time. There are many advanced and useful things in your region and city that may be adopted in our city too. Krasnodar is a modern and well-furnished city. I hope that during our visit we obtain new information and experiences, something special that will be used in our city in the future, — Nikolay Semisotov said.
Extended delegation from Volgograd Region arrived in Krasnodar. The delegation consisted of more than 40 people — Heads of administrations of 6 cities and 32 municipalities of Volgograd Region.
The visit program included attending and examination of objects of sports and transport infrastructure, residential complex “German village”, the city situation room in Krasnodar administration building and other arrangements.
In a trip across Krasnodar the delegation was accompanied by Krasnodar City Duma Chairwoman Vera Galushko, Deputy Heads of Krasnodar Sergey Vasin, Victor Bondar, Evgeny Pervyshov, First Deputy Director of the department of home policy of Krasnodar Region administration Alexey Chernenko.
The visit has started with a tour to the biggest in the South of Russia cluster of sports facilities “The City of Sport” situated at Dzerzhinskogo Street. It occupies the territory of 32 hectares. “The City of Sport” includes Basket-Hall, Ice Palace and a number of other big facilities. Particularly, training complex “Champion” consisting of 11 halls for various sports including trampolining, artistic gymnastics, fencing was demonstrated to the guests. Also they had a look at the swimming pool being under construction now.
- Everything we have seen here is tremendous. This is a true “locomotive” which sets the tone to the development of sport within the region and ensures high performance of local athletes. Surely, we can only welcome the creation of such a high-power sports cluster in our region, - Nikolay Semisotov said.
Then guests attended residential complex “German village” which is the part of developing residential area “Europea”. On a maquette they viewed inhabited quarters and those ones which are in the process of the construction or will be constructed in the future. The project initiators explained that in the end there will be modern residential district with developed infrastructure and all necessary conditions for comfortable living, work and recreation.
During the examination representatives of Volgograd Region delegation walked along the central part of “German village”, estimated the level of land improvement and landscaping.
