Fountain season has started in Krasnodar

Today’s evening the main city fountains have started working in the capital of Kuban. The ceremonies were accompanied with theatrical performances and creative programmes. The first fountain has been started in Chistyakovskaya Grove at 12.00. Plane fountain situated on Theatre Square started working last at 21.00.

— For several consecutive years the event becomes a highlight of Krasnodar life and is accompanied with extensive cultural programme. The event idea is to develop the theme of beauty as inherent companion of the spring.  The opening of light and music fountain as a symbol of water giving life and energy to all around creates special atmosphere of our southern capital city. And so today’s festival is traditionally one of the most popular holidays among citizens, — Deputy Head of Krasnodar Aleksey Kopaigorodsky said in his opening speech.

Tonight hundreds citizens came to Theatre Square to have a look at the performance of light and music plane fountain. Beginning from 19.30 the venue hosted a concert programme with participation of actors of show theatre “Premiere”, vocal and choreographic ensemble “Rodnik” and concert brass band.

— Our Krasnodar is declared to be the most comfortable for living city in Russia and we are proud of it. Spring is the time when nature awakes. Today I would like to say to all residents of our beautiful city to live and in peace and good spirits, raise children. Let they be beautiful and healthy, — Deputy Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Tatiana Gelunenko said.

Exactly at 21.00 all people on Theatre Square started counting down “three, two, one” and on the command “Start!” formidable jets with light and music surged upwards.

Totally 11 fountains of Krasnodar have started working. These fountains situate in Chistyakovskaya Grove, on Theatre Square, in People’s Friendship garden square, in front of the building of Krasnodar Region Legislation Assembly , in City Garden Park, in front of Books’ House, on Platan Boulevard, in Zhukov garden square, along Krasnaya Street before the restored Alexander’s Arch, in Festival garden square and in Alexander’s Boulevard.
