On 27th September at 5 p.m. main festive events will take place on Theatre Square to celebrate the Youth City Day “Literary Krasnodar. Volume 2”
— 2015 has been announced the Year of literature, so grand-scale festive program prepared by municipal Youth department to mark the 222nd birthday of Krasnodar will be devoted to the promotion of Russian classic works of literature and love of reading, raising the interest of young people in literature, — organizers said.
Large-scale youth demonstration “Literary journey” starts at 5 p.m.. Accompanied by costumed characters of literary works the column will go along Krasnaya Street from Pushkin Square to Theatre Square.
Every block of march decorated with art objects will present creative works of Russian literature classics. The march will be participated by students and schoolchildren, delegations of Krasnodar Region municipalities. Specially equipped moving platforms representing authors of Russian classic literature will begin the march.
Besides that, 30 special thematic grounds, like “Tall tales”, “Musical comedy”, “Folklore”, “Poetry”, “Ballads”, “Paroemias and legends”, “Children’s literature” and other will start working at 4 p.m. in Zhukov garden square and on Theatre Square. There will be also various exhibits — retro and present-day cars, decorative and applied art, samovars and other.
Big festive concert will start at 6 p.m. on Theatre Square. Stage performance to be showed by creative collectives of the city and region. Popular Russian group “ARTIK & ASTI” will become the headliner of the program.
