Vladimir Evlanov: We will continue to provide urban amenities in suburban settlements of Krasnodar

Vladimir Evlanov took part in citizens’ meeting where further development of the territory of instructional farm “Kuban” was discussed.

— Over recent years suburban villages, hamlets and settlements are at the centre of our attention and we will continue the work. Thus, instructional farm “Kuban” has changed to the better recently — garden square “Klenovyy” has been beautified, the stadium, a range of roads and foot paths have been put in order. However many challenges are still ahead. We will certainly do the whole scope of works with active participation of local people, — Vladimir Evlanov remarked.

The meeting was also attended by Chairwoman of Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko, Head of Prikubanskiy urban district administration Maxim Nechitailo and Chiefs of structural subdivisions of Krasnodar administration.

Instructional farm “Kuban” is an experimental farm of Kuban State Agrarian University. For many years the development of the farm and maintenance of social sphere facilitties have been carried out by university itself. But lately an increasing problem related to the belonging of federal land and a number of common amenities has raised.  

With the close involvement of local residents Krasnodar administration averted commercial development at garden square and stadium. Now the facilities are put in order and in-demand among people in terms of recreation and useful leisure time organization. Residents made a request to provide the garden square with lighting and to organize children’s football class at the stadium.

There is also an acute problem with preschool education in the settlement — kindergarten № 165 is closed due to emergency condition and it cannot be restored. This very place it is planned to build another kindergarten for 150 places however, to achieve that end, it is required to increase land plot area through federal lands. According to Director of the department of education Aleksey Nekrasov the forming of a land plot of over 5 thousand square meters is drawing to a close. After that specialists will get down to front end engineering design.

Vladimir Evlanov directed attention to unsatisfactory sanitary state of the settlement and encharged Prikubanskiy urban district administration with a task to mobilize community members to restore order at yards, green spaces and agricultural facilities.
