Sberbank supports the development of Krasnodar urban infrastructure

Vladimir Evlanov and Elena Balashova constituent entities projects manager of Sberbank discussed prospects for participation of Sberbank in realization of investment projects in different spheres of Kuban capital’s activity.

— Within the scope of Sochi Forum we have carried on a range of negotiations with leading Russian banks on possibilities of credit support of social and engineering infrastructure facilities construction in the city including those projects implemented on the principle of public-private partnership. It offers Krasnodar exciting possibilities to create more kindergartens, schools, hospitals and other objects essential for the city. Support of leading bank of the country is of course of great importance for us and I reckon that our agreements will be continued, — Vladimir Evlanov said.

During the meeting that occurred within the framework of XIII International Investment Forum Sochi-2014 Krasnodar Head and Sberbank constituent entities of the RF projects manager talked about top-priority directions for the development of Krasnodar. It is about such projects as the construction of social facilities, most significantly — kindergartens, creation of manufacturing outputs, development of public transport etc.

We have talked about how bank can help business to realize needs of the region better and what financial instruments we, as bank, can give investors that will take up the implementation of projects in the city.

Oftentimes companies are afraid of such processes; they consider that it is too difficult to gain state support, join in such project and attract credit resources. And together with municipal authorities we can show that it is quite possible, the main thing is to understand how to do it correctly, — Vladimir Evlanov said.

This was a framework meeting. On the whole they came to an agreement to hold another set of the talks in order to discuss possibilities for cooperation in more detail.

Sberbank is Russian banking sector leader, the main creditor of Russian economy. At year-end 2013 Sberbank accounts for 43,3% of the total quantity of private deposits, 32,7% of consumer loans and 32,1% of business credits.  

Today Sberbank has 16 territorial banks and over 19 thousand branches throughout the country, in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation situated within 11 time belts.

Sberbank has over 106 million customers in Russia — more than half of all population of the country. As of the end 2013 nearly 11 million people employ services of the bank abroad.
