Today in Krasnodar Philharmonic Hall there was a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the festive day — February 23. The event was attended by Head of Krasnodar Evgeny Pervyshov and Chairwoman of the City Duma Vera Galushko.
— I want to express special thanks to veterans, our fathers and grandfathers — all those who defended our country in the years of military hardships, who hoisted the victory banner over the Reichstag and also those ones who ensures security of the country today. We don't cease admiring and are proud of servicemen who are fighting in the army and Navy, who make our country the great military power, — Evgeny Pervyshov said.
The event was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the armed forces, servicemen of Krasnodar garrison, the Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidore, representatives of Cossacks, youth organizations, members of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Region and the city Duma of Krasnodar.

In his speech, Chief of Krasnodar military garrison Victor Lyakhov thanked administration of the capital of Kuban for the support of units and formations of the garrison, assistance to veterans and military personnel. He stressed that today the Southern military district is one of the best on the alert in the country.
After the ceremonial part, creative collectives of Krasnodar Region Philharmonic Hall of Grigory Ponomarenko performed a concert for the participants of the city meeting.
